2011 Day Eleven

Brooke mixed up a blend of spices and herbs to make Herbs de Provence. Can't wait to use this. She made the label and jarred each mix. Thanks Brooke.

Holly made this monthly calender with chalkboard paint and a clip board. Each day of the month is printed in a different font and the month can be chalked in below. Thanks Holly.

Kelli sewed these up for us and I know all of our holiday baking is going to be that much sweeter using these!

2011 Day Five

Tasha sewed up these adorable felt matroyshka doll ornaments;
could they be any cuter?
Dosvedanya little ornament!

2011 Day One

Here we go!
12 Days 2011 Day One!

Beth M. made this really charming paper flower hook!
The petals are from an old book and have a really nice sheen to them.
It makes a wonderful crinkly sound!
I have to be honest, I really want to use this as a Christmas ornament; it's so pretty!

flashback: 2007

Just five short years ago we celebrated the first Midwest 12 Days gift exchange!
{I apologize for the missing photo; I didn't seem to take a picture of my own gift}
I know I still have and use every gift (well, except the candy; I ate that)!

2011 Twelve Days

It's hard to believe that this is our fifth year celebrating friendships and handmade gifts via our Midwest 12 Days gift exchange!

2007 was our first year; we started off with one group of 12. In 2008 the blog was born and we expanded into two groups of twelve. 2009 saw us grow into four group, which proved to be too much to handle so we went back to one group for both 2010 and 2011!

Over the next few weeks we'll be taking some trips down memory lane with mosaics of past exchanges and we'll also try to inspire you with some new ideas for this year!

Kicking things off is this cute bookmark tutorial from little lovelies by allison!
